Hailing from small town Fairfield, VA, Brent has had the dream of being a big time entertainer his entire life. At a young age, Brent grew up performing in church, musicals, local talent competitions and living room shows every chance he got. After graduating from Bridgewater College in 2009, Brent decided to pursue his passion full time. He began honing his songwriting craft and has written over 250 songs to date including songs he wrote for 2 different musicals along with the entire dramatic scripts for those as well. With auditions for national reality competition shows like American Idol and The Voice, placing in multiple local talent competitions, and launching a YouTube channel to share his talent, Brent looked forward to moving to Nashville to live in the heart of the country music epicenter.

After multiple trips to the music city, auditions for music industry executives and numerous appearances at artist showcases, etc., Brent decided to take a break from his dream to heal mentally from dealing with and coming to terms with his sexuality. In 2012, Brent decided to make the tough choice to come out to his family and friends after dealing with major depression and suicidal thoughts. After doing this, Brent was very unsure if there was still a place for him in country music. He spent the next 5 years soul searching, finding peace within himself and healing from the aftermath of coming out.

"One day, I realized that I don’t know how to be anything but me. If that means I am a country music loving, sequin wearing singer that doesn’t like love songs, then so be it!”

In the summer of 2017, after a life changing cross country road trip, Brent decided to finally get back to his one true dream. This time, he would use all the rejection and experience he had learned along the way to do things his way by being completely in control of his own destiny.

In June 2018, Brent moved to Nashville, TN to pursue his dream even further. In September of 2019, Brent released his first Nashville single called “Fire” which outperformed all expectations.

On January 31st, 2020, the highly expected new single, “Fight the Tide” debuted on all platforms. In just 3 days, the official lyric video gained almost 30,000 views and streaming has outperformed every expectation.

Brent’s follow up single, “Slow Dancing” was released in September 2020 and amassed over 10,000 streams in it’s first week.

In 2021 returned to the stage after the pandemic and became a regular on the RNBW stage at Lipstick Lounge as well as Belcourt Taps, Red Bicycle, Nashville Tour Stop & The Listening Room.

In October of 2021, Brent turned his love and reverence for country music history into a podcast and web series titled “Root of the Boot”. Exit 200 Productions, an entity of Brent Snyder Enterprises LLC produces the show with Brent as the Executive Producer, Writer and Star of the show.

In November 2021, Brent kicked off a much anticipated return to music, releasing his single “Stranger Things”, then released his version of “O Holy Night” for the holidays and in February 2021 he released a single called “Somewhere in Missouri”.

On May 20th, 2022, Brent released his debut EP. It was followed by singles “Karma” and “Rhinestones & Regret”.

In October 2022 Brent was asked to play the iconic Bluebird Cafe and received outstanding reviews and was asked back for a second appearance in 2023!

Brent will release his second EP, COBALT, on January 6, 2023, a third EP shortly after and his debut album in mid 2023.
